Five-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Found in The River Thames

London, UK - Five-year-old Daniel Alaby tragically died in the hospital on Friday after being found in the River Thames.

A missing person search was initiated for Daniel after he disappeared from his home in Thamesmead, southeast London, on the same day. The Metropolitan Police confirmed officers recovered a child from the river around 6:23 PM while searching for Daniel.

Inquiries are under way 

Medical personnel administered CPR at the scene before transporting the child, believed to be Daniel, to the hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead later that evening.

Authorities are currently supporting Daniel's family through this difficult time. The Metropolitan Police states there is no indication of foul play involved in Daniel's death.
