OSN Secures Full Warner Bros. Film Catalog in New Exclusive Deal
June 1, 2024 Cinema & Series
OSN, the leading entertainment platform in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has struck a new multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. This agreement grants OSN access to the complete Warner Bros. Pictures film library and all-new, first-run Max Originals.
The deal marks a significant win for OSN, bringing back the Warner Bros. library for the first time since 2016. Subscribers to OSN's traditional TV and streaming services will now have access to a vast collection of blockbuster films, including recent releases like "Barbie," "Wonka," and "Dune: Part Two." Additionally, they can look forward to upcoming titles like the "Dune: Prophecy" prequel series and "The Penguin" spin-off show from the 2022 "The Batman" movie.
Strengthening OSN's Content Offering
"This deal is a game-changer for OSN," said Joe Kawkabani, Group CEO at OSN. "By reacquiring the full Warner Bros. film library and securing exclusive rights to premiere Max Originals, we're significantly expanding our content offering for MENA audiences. This ensures they have access to some of the biggest global titles and the latest blockbusters."
The agreement builds on OSN's existing partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, solidifying their position as the only company in the MENA region offering HBO content. "This comprehensive content package complements our existing library of HBO Originals," said Kawkabani. "It aligns perfectly with our larger content strategy, which prioritizes bringing the best and most premium content to our customers first."
