
Saudi Arabia announces first day of Eid Al Fitr 2024

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia announced the official start of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 on Wednesday, April 10, following the sighting of the crescent moon. This marks the conclusion of a month-long Ramadan fast for Muslims in the Kingdom.
The Royal Court confirmed the date after the Crescent Department of the Supreme Court observed the new moon signifying the beginning of the month of Shawwal. Eid Al-Fitr festivities will officially commence across the country on Wednesday.
Eid Al Fitr Greetings and Holiday Announcement
The Supreme Court extended Eid greetings to the King, Crown Prince, citizens, residents, and Muslims worldwide. They offered prayers for the acceptance of good deeds during Ramadan and for continued peace and prosperity in Saudi Arabia.
Four-Day Holiday for Private Sector
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development confirmed a four-day holiday for private sector employees starting on Tuesday, April 9. Considering the existing weekend (Friday-Saturday), this translates to a five-day break for workers, from April 9 to April 13.
